A new emergency siren at Agrium will be tested today (Friday, Jan. 28) at 11 a.m.
Local businesses have been notified of the planned siren test, said Amy Cameron of the Port of West Sacramento.
The plant is located on Channel Drive along the deep water canal at the Port of West Sacramento. The fertilizer plant stores a large amount of anhydrous ammonia, which is a hazardous material that is liquid at cold temperatures and forms a gas if released.
