Local
police, state Fish & Game, and a “good Samaritan with a trailer” helped
round up three horses loose on Jefferson
Boulevard in the wee hours of Saturday morning.
Police received a call about the horses at
1:22 a.m. The animals were “running around on the street,” said Sgt. Lance
Faille of the Yolo County Sheriff’s Department.
“West Sacramento Police Department responded.
Fish & Game responded. A good Samaritan had a trailer that they used. They
got the horses into the trailer until (Yolo
County’s) Animal Control arrived, and
Animal Control took them to Woodland,”
said Faille.
The animals were later released to their
owner, Marla Butler of Allan
Avenue.
“It looks like a broken wooden fence is how
they got out,” Faille said.
