Feb. 18, 7:01 a.m.
A resident of Pennsylvania Avenue reported a vehicle burglary.
Feb. 18, 9:36 a.m.
A business reported an ongoing problem of vehicle burglaries on Riverside Parkway. The prior night, catalytic converters had been taken from three vehicles.
Feb. 18, 2:43 p.m.
Westmore Oaks Elementary School reported an “irate student” at the campus.
Feb. 18, 2:45 p.m.
The city water treatment plant on Harbor Blvd. experienced a chlorine leak alarm – which was deemed to be an automatic alarm, when a battery was low.
Feb. 18, 5:14 p.m.
On the Tower Bridge, four teens in a silver sedan cursed a cyclist and threw cans at the cyclist.
Feb. 18, 7:21 p.m.
A caller reported that two transients had gone into an unoccupied home on Ore Court. A neighbor was now speaking with them.
Feb. 18, 8:12 p.m.
A woman reported that she had found her runaway daughter near Southport Parkway and Carlin Drive, but the girl was arguing with her and refused to get into the car.
Feb. 18, 11:08 p.m.
A neighbor reported that a Virginia Avenue resident had been using a leaf blower “for the past hour,” and requested that the individual be quieted down.
Feb. 19, 3:18 a.m.
A Ford pickup was repossessed on Cooper Island Road.
Feb. 19, 9:19 a.m.
A caller reported that his/her son at Stonegate Elementary School was asked by an ice cream vendor to help catch another vendor who was selling underpriced ice cream.
Feb. 19, 9:53 a.m.
A vacant Kegle Drive home undergoing renovation was burglarized. Gone were some major appliances as well as power tools.
Feb. 19, 10:15 a.m.
A caller reported that banners advertising new homes had been cut down and set on fire on Linden Road north of Redwood.
Feb. 19, 10:28 a.m.
A caller from a Merkley Avenue business complex said a laptop computer was stolen an hour or two earlier. The computer had been in an unlocked room, and the victim had been working next door.
Feb. 19, 12:49 p.m.
An Allan Avenue man was in the police lobby to report that a neighbor hadn’t repaid money he had been lent.
Feb. 19, 1:58 p.m.
A 20-year old woman reported that she had bought magazine subscriptions from a man standing in front of a Riverpoint Court store. The man said he was selling subscriptions to fund a school trip, and that he could accept only cash. He accompanied her to an ATM, where she withdrew $280 and paid him. He assured her that she could get her money back if she did not like the magazines. Now, she thinks it may have been a scam.
Feb. 19, 2:53 p.m.
A restaurant on the 800-block of Harbor Boulevard reported receiving a counterfeit $100 bill. Later, a citizen called police complaining that the restaurant was accusing him/her of passing the bill.
Feb. 19, 3:09 p.m.
On Snowberry Circle, a possible vehicle burglary was reported. The car window was shattered but intact – possibly damaged by a BB gun.
Feb. 19, 4:39 p.m.
A caller from Milton Street said his ex-girlfriend had taken his unemployment check while he was in jail.
Feb. 19, 9:18 p.m.
A caller told police that he or she had allowed a transient to stay at the caller’s 4th Street apartment. Now, the transient wouldn’t leave, and had locked the caller out of the apartment.
Feb. 19, 10:20 p.m.
On Trinidad Road, a boat and trailer were repossessed.
Feb. 19, 10:38 p.m.
In the north area, a caller told police that a child’s mother was supposed to pick up the child after school, but didn’t show up for the child until 9:30 p.m. The caller was irate.
Feb. 19, 11:59 p.m.
Police on scene saw “lots of smoke from the roof” of a business on the 900-block of Sacramento Avenue.
Feb. 19, 11:03 p.m.
A 39-year old man ran a stop sign and hit a parked car near his Michigan Blvd. home. He showed symptoms of intoxication, but because of a language barrier, no field sobriety test was administered. The man was arrested and booked.
Feb. 20, 12:10 a.m.
An officer stopped a car for a vehicle code violation near Higgins Road and Constitution Avenue. A 47-year old male driver appeared drunk. After a sobriety test, he was arrested.
Feb. 20, 12:55 a.m.
Loud music was reported at a Savannah Lane apartment.
Feb. 20, 1:08 a.m.
A bar on the 2100-block of West Capitol reported that a very drunk woman had just left after yelling at other patrons.
Feb. 20, 5:40 a.m.
An officer saw a 24-year old Hardy Drive man in a passenger seat of a vehicle near Jefferson and I-80, and recognized the man as a parolee at large. Police conducted a “high risk” stop, and the man was arrested without incident.
Feb. 20, 5:55 a.m.
A caller reported that a neighboring house on Jennings Court had its garage door open, with no movement and no one around.
Feb. 20, 11:29 a.m.
On Simon Terrace, an electrical pole was reported to be “sparking really bad” and creating a fire danger.
Feb. 20, 12:41 p.m.
A caller from Southport reported that her ex-boyfriend was harassing her at work and at home.
Feb. 20, 3:07 p.m.
A 5th Street woman reported that her 18-year old daughter had taken her phone and was refusing to get it back, and had tried to start a fight. The pair were now separated but on scene.
Feb. 20, 4:58 p.m.
On the 1200-block of West Capitol, a man in his 50s, wearing a backpack, was reported to be waving a four-inch knife at passers-by.
Feb. 20, 5:54 p.m.
A Chinook Road resident reported that someone had blocked the driveway with a GMC vehicle, and the resident couldn’t drive out.
Feb. 20, 6:07 p.m.
Sacramento police visited a Southport home regarding an incident involving a juvenile.
Feb. 20, 9:16 p.m.
Six men and women in a GMC SUV were in the parking lot of a market on Harbor Blvd., offering perfume samples to women at the gas station. A woman reported that they were “very persistent and intimidating,” and had become “verbally abusive” when she refused a sample.
Feb. 21, 1:50: a.m.
Near Sumatra and Mandura streets, about six or eight subjects were reported to be outside partying loudly.
Feb. 21, 3:54 a.m.
A Jefferson Blvd. gas station reported that a man had taken a sandwich from its market without paying. The caller now had the suspect locked up inside. The subject was yelling that “he wants to go to the Pentagon.”
Feb. 21, 7:50 a.m.
A caller reported that there was a woman knocking on front doors on Walnut Street, yelling “I want to speak to the man of the house!”
Feb. 21, 9:49 a.m.
A Michigan Blvd. resident reported someone had taken laundry detergent from the garage.
Feb. 21, 1:22 p.m.
A drug store on West Capitol reported there was a man stumbling around, yelling at cars and at passersby.
